Aino Haili

Hello everyone!

My name is Aino Haili and I’m an ambitious and eager start-of-a-journalist from Finland. I’m very thrilled to be a part of the Youth Newsroom in Jakarta, I’ve actually never been that far away from my home before!

Visual story telling, especially photography, is the number one of my skills and one of the closest things to my heart (I really cannot live without my camera). I also do video and I am very interested about mobile journalism. I use Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, Audition and InDesign.

In the future I hope to work as a visual journalist and I’m very interested in making documentaries. International subjects interest me very much and I hope I’ll someday make journalism about subjects that really move people and make them think.

During the last year press freedom and common freedom of speech has been one the hottest topics of discussion around the world. I’m very interested in hearing about the situations that journalists around the globe have had to endure. It’ll be very interesting to share views of the subject with all of you!
